After West Ham’s defeat to Leicester on Tuesday night, the club’s board announced they would make a decision on the future of manager Julen Lopetegui – a decision that sees the former Wolves boss given at least one more game in charge.
While there is something rather ironic that the Hammers’ next league outing is at home to the club that Lopetegui last managed and with Wolves also failing to meet expectations this season, Gary O’Neil also finds himself in a precarious position.

Which is precisely what counterpart Lopetegui needs to achieve at the London Stadium but with the lack of a real relationship between the Spaniard and those who forever blowing bubbles, one could argue that any support has been lost for good.
With West Ham’s supporters known for being unforgiving at the best of times, any love affair with the former Real Madrid manager looks to be a summer romance and nothing more if the Hammers slip to another defeat on Monday.
The East London outfit said goodbye to David Moyes at the end of last season and the Scot is now doing the media circuit with a view to getting back into the game. A third stint at E20 might not be the strangest thing to ever happen nor could taking over the tenure at Molineux instead.
