Arne Slot's Liverpool side head to Germany on Wednesday night in need of a win to put an end to a worrying run of four defeats on the bounce.

Despite spending an extortionate amount during the summer transfer window, things have been gradually falling apart under Slot and the defeat at home to Manchester United on Sunday pointed to a dysfunctional side with plenty to be concerned about.

With one win and one defeat in Europe so far this season, they can put things firmly back on track against Frankfurt, who themselves have been involved in two 5-1s so far in the Champions League - one in each direction.

We've got a few betting tips to cast your eye over ahead of kick-off.

Frankfurt vs Liverpool Tips

Here are our three top football tips ahead of the game.

Tip 1: Liverpool to win and BTTS - 8/5

Yes, Liverpool have been out of form recently but they still have plenty to offer in attack - provided the team is functioning correctly.

The attack generally hasn't been an issue so far this season, with the 1-0 defeat at Galatasaray three weeks ago the only game in which they have failed to score so far this season.

With players like Mo Salah, Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo, they have the players to cause anyone problems, even if some of them haven't justified the huge transfer fees paid for them over the summer.

They keep creating chances though, and it's only a matter of time before Salah hits his straps and this could be the game he needs to get things up and running for the season - it would only be natural for his levels to eventually drop off, but he definitely still has goals in him.

There will be more concerns over the defence and midfield though, and with just two clean sheets so far this campaign - in back-to-back games at the end of August/start of September - they just can't rely on shutting teams out, so will have to outscore Frankfurt.

Tip 2: Total Goals Over 4.5 - 23/10

There has to be goals in this one.

Liverpool look very vulnerable to the counter-attack and Virgil van Dijk is arguably showing signs of creaking in defence - particularly when not afforded the protection he is used to - and Alisson is injured.

They've been far more open so far this season than we have seen for a while and it's no surprise they have just the two clean sheets to their name so far, and we expect Frankfurt to have some joy going forward.

But that's nothing compared to their opponents.

In their last five games, Frankfurt's results have been 3-4, 6-4, 1-5, 0-3 and 2-2. If that doesn't spell goals then I don't know what does.

Their two Champions League games have finished 5-1 and 1-5 - so if everything goes according to the form book, then this could be the most entertaining tie of the round in terms of goalmouth action.

Tip 3: Mohamed Salah to score 2+ goals - 15/2

As previously mentioned, Salah has not found his shooting boots yet this season.

In eight games played, he has two goals (one in the Champions League) but none in five matches and perhaps most interestingly - his expected goals is down at 2.4/

What stands out about that is that whereas in the past Liverpool have clearly been set up to get the most out of Salah, it looks a little bit different so far this season and with the likes of Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike in attack, he is no longer supposed to be the sole contributor of goals.

Added to that is the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold and the way the two dovetailed down the right, and all of a sudden Salah doesn't quite look like the player he was/might still be.

So while there is little evidence to back it up, we're backing him to net twice tonight just because he is too good to be kept quiet for long and a Frankfurt side that has conceded 18 goals in their last five matches could be perfect for him.
