Most of the attention ahead of the King’s Stand Stakes is being paid to Battaash who makes his return after 10 months off and a hairline fracture.
Peter Scudamore tells the Royal Ascot Day 1 preview that there isn’t much you can do about an edgy horse like Battaash and that it’s a double-edged sword in that edginess can help a horse start quickly.
While Battaash is the one to beat, the return of fans could be another issue and Scu is going to take the favourite on with Oxted who is 17/2 with Paddy Power.
Ed and Charlie agree that Oxted has every chance of winning this with Charlie also suggesting that Winter Power is interesting at 11/2 with bet365*.
