Arsenal injury update before Liverpool

Here is the latest Arsenal team news ahead of their meeting with Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta revealed Arsenal lost Jorginho ahead of the win over Brighton amid ‘issues in the camp’, which is said to be a foot injury.

But the midfielder told reporters he was ‘getting better’ having missed the game, which was the first time he had failed to make a matchday squad since the Community Shield.

Thomas Partey has been pictured running on a treadmill in recent days as he nears a return from a leg muscle issue.

Arteta has been tight-lipped on when the player will be available for Arsenal. Reports suggest January is earmarked for Partey to return.

Finally, Mohamed  Elneny suffered a hamstring injury in the Champions League draw at PSV. Arsenal are yet to reveal the results of the Egyptian’s assessments.
