Aston Villa vs Liverpool Premier League Betting Stats
There is just one Premier League game taking place on Monday, May 13, which sees Aston Villa play host to Liverpool.
Aston Villa go into the clash as 16/5 outsiders to pick up a win at Villa Park, while Liverpool can be backed at 7/10 to come away with three points.
Ahead of the fixture, Aston Villa are looking to cement their place in the top-four. Liverpool, on the other hand, have little left to play for following their title charge collapsing.
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
Aston Villa’s form has taken a nosedive over the last few weeks, with back-to-back losses in Europe coinciding with a 2-2 draw versus Chelsea and a 1-0 defeat to Brighton.
Despite their dip in results, Aston Villa remain heavy favourites to clinch the final Champions League place this season. Unai Emery’s men go into the weekend seven points clear of 5th-place Tottenham. Spurs do have a game in hand on Villa, but with the Lilywhites needing to overturn a seven-point deficit in just three games - one of which is against Manchester City - it is hard to see Villa not ending 2023/24 in the top four.
As for Liverpool, a recent run of one win in five all but ended their Premier League title hopes. The Reds can still technically win the league, sitting five points off top spot with two to play following a 4-2 win over Tottenham last time out. But it is very unlikely both Arsenal and Manchester City will drop enough points for that to happen.
Aston Villa vs Liverpool betting stats
- Aston Villa had just two shots against Brighton in their last league outing, their fewest in a Premier League match since May 2016 vs Newcastle United (also 2). Only against Manchester United in August 2005 (1) have they had fewer on record in the competition.

- Both teams have scored in Aston Villa’s previous three Premier League home games.
- Aston Villa and Liverpool have drawn half of their last four home and away Premier League games. (three matches ending 2-2).
- Mohamed Salah has scored seven goals in 10 career appearances against Aston Villa, with four of them his side’s first of the game.
- Andy Robertson has scored in each of his last two Premier League appearances for Liverpool - the first time he’s scored in consecutive games in the competition.
Aston Villa vs Liverpool Top Tip
