Bayer Leverkusen To Go Unbeaten Odds: Now 1/3 after 5-1 win
Bayer Leverkusen’s history-making campaign continued over the weekend as they travelled to Deutsche Bank Park for a meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Xabi Alonso’s men wrapped up the Bundesliga title with five games to spare, beating Werder Bremen 5-0 on April 14 to secure their first-ever league title.
However, the Spanish tactician is continuing to make history as his team are on course to go unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season.
Will Bayer Leverkusen go unbeaten in the Bundesliga?
Despite winning the league over three weeks ago, Bayer Leverkusen have not taken their foot off the gas pedal at all. This was evident when they faced Eintracht Frankfurt on May 5.
Granit Xhaka put the champions 1-0 up after 12 minutes before Frankfurt drew level midway through the first half. However, Bayer Leverkusen dominated proceedings from there, going 2-1 up in the 44th minute thanks to Patrik Schick before further goals from Exequiel Palacios, Jeremie Frimpong and Victor Boniface in the second 45 saw the away team clinch an impressive 5-1 win.
Leverkusen are now 15 points clear of Bayern Munich having won 26, drawn six, lost zero, scored 82 and conceded 23 in their 32 Bundesliga ties so far this season. They have two league matches left to play in 2023/24, both of which are very winable.
Bayer Leverkusen’s remaining Bundesliga fixtures
- Vfl Bochum (A) May 12
- Augsburg (H) May 18
Vfl Bochum are 14th in the Bundesliga after the latest set of fixtures, having won just seven league matches all term. Leverkusen go into that match as 8/11 favourites to secure a win.
Augsburg, meanwhile, are 9th in the table and were in the race for some form of European football. But they have now lost four of their last five matches, leaving them with a -8 goal difference. On paper, both of these games should see Leverkusen secure some form of result with relative ease, meaning they can become the first side in Bundesliga history to go unbeaten across an entire campaign.
Bayer Leverkusen Europa League Odds
As well as securing the Bundesliga crown and potentially going unbeaten in the league, Bayer Leverkusen remain in with a chance of winning the Europa League this season.
The German outfit beat AS Roma 2-0 in the first of two semi-final legs last week and are 11/20 favourites to pick up another win at home on Thursday.
Should Leverkusen - who are favourites to win the competition - make it to the Europa League final later this month, they will face Atalanta or Marseille in the showpiece.
