Champions League Tips and Predictions: 17/1 Champions League Qualifying Acca
Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are one of the sides facing Champions League elimination on Tuesday night in the second legs of the third round qualification stage.
The Turkish giants lost 2-1 to Lille in the first leg and return to home soil looking to overturn that deficit, while Rangers also have home advantage after getting a draw against Dynamo Kyiv and RB Salzburg are also looking to book their place in the Champions League.
Two of the sides above feature in our regular Champions League tips and predictions, with plenty of promotions are available on Freebets.com from the top football betting sites to give you a head start this summer, along with the top football betting offers.
Champions League Tips and Predictions
Fenerbahce to win and BTTS
We predicted at the start of this tie that Lille would enjoy the better of the opening leg, but that Fenerbahce would progress over the two legs. I think we’re still on course for that after the 2-1 win for the Ligue 1 side last week, with Fenerbahce showing already this season that they are a dangerous side with goals in them.
Edin Dzeko in particular has been in the goals early this season so if you’re looking for a goalscorer then I’d strongly consider him, but in five of their eight games so far this season both teams have scored, so I’m backing that run to continue.
RB Salzburg to qualify
RB Salzburg are another side who we backed to win in the first leg, and so they did with a 2-1 win over FC Twente. Obviously they have the advantage going to the Netherlands and nothing about the respective form of the two sides suggests they will give that up, but just to be on the safe side I’m going to go with a Salzburg qualification rather than an outright win. European trips are not easy, but I think they will do enough to progress over the course of the two legs.
Rangers to win and BTTS
I backed both teams to score in the first leg of this tie last week, and I am going with something similar this week, but with Rangers to have the edge. Gers have had a tough pre-season but claimed a very creditable 1-1 draw to take back to Ibrox before returning to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend.
This will be a tough game, and there probably won’t be much between the two sides. There is a good chance it goes to extra-time, but I am backing home advantage to do the business for Rangers as they squeeze into the Champions League proper on the back of a good away result.
