German fans are optimistic after witnessing two outstanding victories in the Euro 2024 opening matches: a 5-1 win against Scotland and a 2-0 win against Hungary. Uruguay has delivered strong performances in the World Cup qualifiers in South America, securing 2-0 victories against both world champions Argentina and Brazil. They also looked impressive in their last warm-up match before the Copa America, defeating Mexico 4-0. Panama has lost all three previous encounters with Uruguay without scoring a single goal, so I am backing La Celeste to win to nil here.

The Scotland captain is yet to find the net at Euro 2024, but the Liverpool left-back ended the domestic season on a high, scoring in two of his final three games.
Hungary have struggled against attack-minded left-backs so far - Michel Aebischer scored and assisted for Switzerland in their opening game, while Max Mittelstadt set up a goal for Germany and had a shot on target in their second Group A match.
