Eagles v Packers Tips: NFL Wild Card Picks & Betting Offers
The 2025 NFL Playoffs kick off with the Wild Card round this weekend, featuring three thrilling matchups on Sunday, including an NFC showdown at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. We’ve crafted our Eagles v Packers tips in the form of a bet builder.
The No. 2 Philadelphia Eagles already faced the No. 7 Green Bay Packers during the 2024 regular season, securing a 34-29 victory as 2-point favourites at a neutral site in the Week 1 NFL Sao Paulo Game.
This time, the Eagles enter as 5-point home favourites, with the total set at 45.0 points, according to the top UK betting sites.

Josh Jacobs Over 69.5 Rushing Yards
The Eagles lead the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (174.2) and yards allowed per catch (9.7). Their pass defense has found its form in the second half of the season, conceding fewer than 200 passing yards in eight of their last ten games.
During this ten-game span, opposing quarterbacks have averaged just 160.4 passing yards. This is a much-improved Eagles defense compared to Week 1, and the Packers will need to rely on star running back Josh Jacobs if they hope to cause an upset at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles give up 104.2 rushing yards per game (10th in the NFL) and 4.3 yards per carry (tied 9th). They have allowed at least 100 rushing yards in five of their last six games, with opponents averaging 113.3 yards on 27 carries during that stretch.
Josh Jacobs had an excellent regular season for the Packers, recording 301 carries for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowler averaged 78.2 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry, tallying at least 69 rushing yards in three of his last four games.
Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The Packers concede 19.9 points per game (6th) while allowing 99.4 rushing yards (7th) and 215.2 passing yards (13th). However, their red-zone defence showed vulnerability during the regular season, giving up 30 touchdowns on 50 attempts (20th).
This provides Jalen Hurts with an excellent opportunity to utilise his rushing skills in his return to the field. After missing the last two games due to a concussion, Hurts will be eager to make an impact in the Wild Card round.
Hurts is a significant asset for the Eagles in the red zone. Opposing defences are often preoccupied with Saquon Barkley, which creates space for Hurts. Over 15 games, Hurts recorded 150 carries for 630 yards and an impressive 14 touchdowns.
Remarkably, Hurts has scored more rushing touchdowns this season than Barkley managed in 16 games. Barkley’s odds are less appealing, making Hurts a strong choice. The Eagles’ quarterback has rushed for a touchdown in eight of his last ten games.
In the Week 1 clash against the Packers, Barkley found the end zone three times—twice on the ground and once through the air. While Hurts didn’t score a rushing touchdown, he threw for 278 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, adding 13 carries for 33 yards.
