Euro 2024 Betting Offers and Free Bets for England to Win

Euro 2024 Betting Offers on England to Win - Freebets.com

Last week, Gareth Southgate announced a 33-man squad for England’s upcoming June friendlies, ahead of the European Championships and the start of Euro 2024 betting.

The Three Lions are set to face Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 3 and Iceland on June 7. Following these matches, Southgate will need to reduce his team to 26 players before their first Euro 2024 match against Serbia on June 16.

These friendly matches will provide Southgate with a valuable opportunity to finalise his decisions on which seven players will not continue, particularly as many online bookmakers currently favour his team to win the tournament. In view of this, Euro 2024 betting offers are already available with a lot of free bets to grab when betting on several markets.

England Euro 2024 Squad: Selection Decisions Ahead

Gareth Southgate has selected one of the largest squads among teams competing in Euro 2024, forcing him to take several difficult decisions in the weeks ahead. Out of the players listed, seven will not make the trip to Germany. We’ve examined some of the likely candidates for exclusion. Stay tuned to our latest updates for any changes.

Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen enjoyed another stellar 2023/24 club campaign with West Ham. The Hammers were not at their best after the loss of Declan Rice and an injury crisis midway through the season but Bowen was once again their MVP, netting 16 and assisting six in 34 Premier League outings.

Such form should all but guarantee the winger a place at the Euros but he is currently among the outsiders to make the team with odds of 4/6 as he is competing for a place with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and James Maddison.

Ezri Konsa

Ezri Konsa has been called up for the June friendlies as England have limited options at full-back this summer due to injuries to both Ben Chiwell and Reece James. At present, Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Luke Shaw are the Three Lions’ only natural full-backs named as defenders despite the large squad.

As a result, Southgate could call on someone like Konsa to fill in at right-back should Walker suffer an injury or be suspended. The Aston Villa man is a natural centre-back but made 23 appearances for the Midlands outfit on the right of a back-four this past season. While he would not provide the attacking threat of someone like Walker or Trippier (who is expected to be used on the left if Shaw is not fit) Konsa would provide some defensive security in big games against tougher opposition.

James Trafford

James Trafford did not have the best 2023/24 with Burnley, keeping just two clean sheets for the now-relegated outfit in 28 league games. However, the 21-year-old is excellent with the ball at his feet and accustomed to playing out from the back. This is something Southgate values in his keepers and is likely why Nick Pope is not in the squad.

But with four goalkeepers currently selected by Southgate, one will be cut before the Three Lions’ European Championship campaign gets underway and as Jordan Pickford and Aaron Ramsdale are the no.1 and no.2, it is a toss-up between Trafford and Dean Henderson for who makes the final team.

Jarell Quansah

Jarell Quansah is an emerging centre-back Southgate should be looking at to replace an ageing, out-of-form Harry Maguire. The 21-year-old has become a first-team regular for Liverpool, making 33 appearances for the Reds’ senior side in 2023/24 and forming an excellent partnership with Virgil van Dijk.

However, he is yet to make his debut for England and while Quansah should be a player to watch for the future, he will likely have a hard time beating more experienced players such as Marc Guehi, Jarrad Branthwaite and Lewis Dunk to a seat on the plane.
