Euro Leagues: A Look To The Continent

Chance To Go Top

When looking at the race for this season’s Serie A crown, it is arguably just as intense as the one seen within the Premier League and with three, perhaps four genuine contenders still in the mix, it is going to be a fascinating end to proceedings within Italy.

Not only that, but it looks like we also have a fascinating weekend on the horizon and with league leaders Milan not in action until the start of next week, it is Napoli who have been handed a golden opportunity beforehand.

One that comes courtesy of Luciano Spaletti’s men playing just over 24 hours before the current league leaders and if they manage to win their next domestic encounter, it will temporarily at least place them at the top of the Serie A standings.

However, there is the small matter of Atalanta standing in their way on Sunday and with the Bergamo outfit also requiring a win to aid their Champions League hopes, it is fair to say that they will not be rolling out the red carpet.

Then again, they may well end up handing out the points and with Napoli having won three of their last four league outings, they are starting to build up a head of steam. One that I think continues at the weekend and at odds of 19/10 with Bet365, the risk could well be worth the reward.

Best Of The Rest

Although Sevilla were an early contender for this season’s edition of LaLiga, their chase of Real Madrid has long since run out of breath and although league honours have passed them by, a second place finish has looked a near certainty for quite a while.

That was until a resurgent Barcelona finally got their act together and although the hunt of Real Madrid has been mentioned by manager Xavi, an unlikely pursuit of Los Blancos looks like it will be exactly that.

However, Barcelona’s demolition of their biggest rivals has put fuel in the fire of the Catalan outfit and with them now only three points behind Sevilla, they have clear designs on finishing as the best of the rest.

While as luck would have it, the Spanish fixture computer has thrown the pair together this weekend and with both teams having incredible unbeaten runs under their belts – Sevilla 15 unbeaten in the league and Barcelona 13, something will have to give.

Then again, with Barcelona being afforded home advantage, they will look to make perfect use of that and with a Camp Nou win and under a total 2.5 goals currently at odds of 11/4 with Bet365, you should also look to take advantage of this yourself.

Another Race For Fourth

After Borussia Dortmund dropped points just before the international break, you get the feeling that their last attempt to chase down Bayern Munich has been curtailed and now the focus will lie elsewhere within the Bundesliga.

A focus that perhaps shifts down to the race for the final Champions League invite and with RB Leipzig finding themselves in that very mix, they also find themselves having to go to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.

Because although the hosts have a 12-point margin over the visitors, it is their respective current form which is of most interest and with neither side having lost any of their last six Bundesliga encounters, it is another meeting where something will have to give this weekend.

For Marco Rose’s men, it is doing their very best to keep the flickering flame of the title race alive and at the very least, earn more of the necessary points to secure a second-place finish at the end of the season.

While for Domenico Tedesco, the remit is as simple as returning RB Leipzig to the Champions League and with the Italian taking over from Jesse Marsch earlier in the season, this would be quite the achievement.

It would also be quite the achievement if RB Leipzig picked up all three points on Saturday. However, I think this one goes the way of Dortmund and for an extra element of insurance, I am going to use the draw no bet market with Bet365 at odds of 8/11.
