Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has emerged as a transfer target for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, with the trio chasing a world record deal for the Egyptian.
Salah, 25, is in his debut season on Merseyside having joined from Roma in a £35million deal last summer. Having failed to make an impact in a short spell at Chelsea earlier in his career, there were concerns he would fail to justify the heavy outlay from the Reds.
But his impact has been staggering, netting 36 goals, 28 in the Premier League and becoming the highest goalscorer in their maiden season in Liverpool’s history. On Saturday, against Watford, he scored four and set up the other in a 5-0 win at Anfield.
That may come at a cost, though, with three of Europe’s most powerful clubs now desperate to sign him for £200million, over £50million more than the Reds sold Philippe Coutinho for in January.
