European Masters Golf Betting Tips & Betting Offers

What this week’s European Masters may lack in top-shelf players, it certainly doesn’t lack in beauty.

The Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland is a sight to behold and, although it clearly isn’t on the bucket list of many of the best-ranked DP World Tour players in 2024, it still offers plenty of opportunities for value betting up and down the field.

Matt Fitzpatrick won this event in back-to-back years between 2017-2018 and in 2024 leads the betting as an 11/1 FAV with bet365, and with Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup team now open for qualification, plenty of European hopefuls will be looking to run well in the Swiss Alps.

Here are our European Masters betting tips, plus the top golf betting offers from the best uk betting sites.

Wallace to go one better

Londoner Matt Wallace finished runner-up here in 2022 and after landing a top-10 finish at the Belfry in last week’s British Masters 16/1 is a healthy pick for him to land the European Masters crown.

Wallace has four DP World Tour titles to his name but has drawn a blank since his 2018 trio of wins in Denmark, India and Germany.

His runner-up finish here in 2022 came via a playoff loss to Thriston Lawrence but with the confidence of an eighth placed finish at the Belfry behind him from last week, the 34-year-old will be favoured in what should be considered a pretty weak field.

Wallace’s game relies heavily on an excellent short game, so expect him to be in good contention if his wedges and putter are on fire in the Alps.

Fitzpatrick to miss out?

Sure, it’s a punt on backing the favourite in the field to miss the cut in Crans, but considering Matt Fitzpatrick’s summer, it wouldn’t be the biggest of shocks at 10/3 with bet365.

The 30-year-old pulled out of the Olympics event citing a thumb injury, and his 2024 season has been below his very high standards so far.

The big plus for Fitzpatrick is his knowledge of the course.

A two-time winner here and a three-time winner across his last 25 DP World Tour starts, the 2022 US Open champion could probably grind out a good couple of rounds even if he is below his absolute best, but if his tee-to-green game continues to struggle, there is a chance he misses out on the weekend.
