MK Dons v Bradford Match Preview
MK Dons responded to their 8-1 aggregate Play-Off Semi-Final humiliation by Crawley with the defensive acquisitions of Sam Sherring, Luke Offord and Laurence Maguire, while Tom Carroll will bring lofty experience in midfield.
As such, Mike Williamson’s side will be keen to highlight, on day one, that they’ll be stronger defensively for those additions, and tougher in big games.
So, the smart money could be on a low-scoring victory for the Buckinghamshire outfit, who have lost top goalscorer Max Dean, and are hoping one of Matthew Dennis, Ellis Harrison and recruit Callum Hendry can fill the void.
Visitors Bradford, on the other hand, will set up with a deep defensive block that could see Liam Kelly given too much space to run the game for the hosts, with the diminutive playmaker’s low centre of gravity making him an extremely efficient decision-maker.
Meanwhile, strikers Andy Cook and Calum Kavanagh could struggle for the Bantams without much support.
