Grant Thornton Invitational 2-Ball Betting Tips, Odds & Predictions

The players will be in festive spirits as they gear up for the Grant Thornton Invitational in this week's 2-ball betting tips.
A mixed-team event co-sanctioned by the PGA and LPGA Tours, this tournament is a whimsical way to cap off the year.
12 months ago, Jason Day and Lydia Ko won the inaugural edition, clinching the title by one shot as they wound up on a total score of -26.
Split across three rounds, including Foursomes and a modified four-ball, Day and Ko set a new 54-hole record last year en route to lifting the trophy.
With a decent pay cheque in the offering too, the 16 teams will be giving it their all at Tiburon Golf Club in Florida in their quest for success.
But if like me, you want the lowdown on the groupings for Round 1, and who could prevail, then check out my 2-ball betting tips below, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
2-Ball Betting Tips - Grant Thornton Invitational
Celine Boutier/Matthieu Pavon to beat Jennifer Kupcho/ Akshay Bhatia
Celine Boutier swapped partners for the 2024 edition, teaming up this time with compatriot Matthieu Pavon, and they will be second to tee off against Jennifer Kupcho and Akshay Bhatia.
French duo Boutier and Pavon have had successful seasons on their respective Tours in 2024, each clocking up four top-10s, while Pavon earned a maiden PGA Tour title at the Farmers Insurance Open.
A solid short game will be required at Tiburon, and while Kupcho and Bhatia will be no pushovers, Iโve backed Boutier and Pavon to be in the final pairing on Sunday.
Iโm not veering away from that prediction, so to kick off my 2-ball betting tips, Iโm going with Boutier and Pavon to take the spoils in Round 1.
Lexi Thompson/Rickie Fowler to beat Allisen Corpuz/Sahith Theegala
Lexi Thompson announced her retirement from the LPGA Tour earlier this year, and along with four top-10s, she was part of the victorious American Solheim Cup team.
Rickie Fowler may still be trying to recapture his best form, and some of his stats make for dismal reading, including SG: Total (ranked 134th) and SG: Off-the-Tee (137th).
Meanwhile, Sahith Theegala, who finished third in the FedEx Cup standings was a model of consistency as was Allisen Corpuz on the LPGA Tour where she missed four cuts during the season.
However, Thompson can grind it out and bring the best out of herself and others around her. She will also want to bow out in style. In Round 1, I think Thompson and Fowler will prevail, but it should be a fun watch.
Nelly Korda/Tony Finau to beat Lydia Ko/Jason Day
Going into the tournament as the reigning champions, Ko and Day will have a target on their backs.
That said, they are unlikely to be fazed, and they wonโt want to relinquish their title without a fight.
Last year, Korda and Finau also oozed class, but they had to settle for T4 as they finished on -23.
This is the last tee off time of the day, and arguably the tournament has saved the best for last.
It could be a firecracker of a round with plenty of birdies to keep the fans entertained. To finish things off, I like the look of Korda and Finau to come out on top, so Iโm going with them to see off Ko and Day on the opening day.
