Kilmarnock v Cercle Brugge Betting Tips, Odds & Match Preview - Europa League
- Cercle Brugge to win & both teams to score - 5/2 with William Hill
- Kevin Denkey to score the first goal - 13/5 with William Hill
Kilmarnock aim for a memorable European campaign as they host Belgian side Cercle Brugge at a sold-out Rugby Park tonight in what promises to be a highly competitive clash.
Under Derek McInnes, Kilmarnock had an outstanding season in the Scottish Premiership last term, finishing fourth, nine points ahead of fifth-placed St Mirren.
And Killie will hope to avoid a repeat of their last European campaign five years ago when they were knocked out in the first qualifying round of the Europa League by Welsh side Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Cercle Brugge also had an impressive season, finishing fifth in the regular season and fourth in the champions’ play-offs. They will arrive in Ayrshire confident of putting in a strong performance in this first-leg clash.

Kilmarnock v Cercle Brugge Match Preview
Cercle Brugge are the odds-on favourite to win tonight’s clash at Rugby Park and they will likely provide a stern test for Kilmarnock.
The Belgian side finished last season strongly, including victories against Antwerp and Genk, but they only kept one clean sheet in their final ten games.
This, coupled with Killie scoring in 11 of their last 13 matches at Rugby Park, indicates that this should be an entertaining clash.
An away win, coupled with both teams scoring, looks an attractive betting angle this evening, setting the scene nicely for next week’s second leg in Belgium.
Denkey the danger man
Kevin Denkey was instrumental in Cercle’s fantastic form last season. The Togolese international was Brugge’s top scorer, scoring an impressive 27 goals across his 39 appearances in league and cup, and he’s the favourite to get on the scoresheet here.
He averaged over four shots per appearance last season for the Belgian side, and he looks like an excellent bet to open the scoring at Rugby Park this evening.
