Arsenal injury update

Here is the latest Arsenal injury news ahead of their meeting with Luton Town.

Bukayo Saka was unable to complete 90 minutes vs Manchester City on Sunday, sparking fears of a fresh injury.

Mikel Arteta revealed post-match that his departure was down to Saka’s inability to train beforehand, due to a minor muscle issue:

“As you know he’s been out for a few weeks now with a little problem,” he said.

“He was feeling that fatigue. Right now he hasn’t trained. He trained just one day before the match. He made a big contribution, but 90 minutes was a lot today.”

However, the Englishman only suffered from fatigue before being taken off vs Man City, as opposed to a fresh injury problem.

Elsewhere, there were rumours that Jurrien Timber would be involved on Sunday having stepped up his return to training. But the Dutchman did not make the squad and no fresh update has been given since.
