Liverpool injury update

Here is the latest Liverpool injury news ahead of their meetings with Atalanta and Crystal Palace.

Trent Alexander-Arnold injured his knee ligament in the win over Burnley two months ago. However, he is back in training and in contention to face Atalanta:

“It’s always a challenge trying to reintegrate the guys,” Klopp said on Trent. “With the quality they have it should be easier, and we will use them in the next days and weeks, but what it means for tomorrow I didn’t make a decision yet.”

Jurgen Klopp’s latest update on Alisson saw the German label his no.1 as ‘on the way back’ after overcoming a hamstring injury. Like Trent, Alisosn is expected to return in one of Liverpool’s games this week.

Klopp also provided a positive update on Diogo Jota in his pre-Atalanta press conference on Wednesday, hinting at a return this week:

“Obviously we didn’t rush it with the boys,” Klopp said on Wednesday. “You can but we didn’t, that means they did a lot of training by themselves, especially Diogo and Trent, [they] worked as a group for two or three weeks really properly training. So, [they] looked very good yesterday, to be honest.”
