The Dutchman’s future has been called into question over the last few months, with Gareth Southgate currently the 5/2 favourite with Betfair to be the next permanent Manchester United manager.

With Manchester United looking unlikely to secure a top-four finish this season, combined with some questionable displays, Erik ten Hag’s future has been up in the air for some time.
But according to iNews, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS group are likely to retain the services of current Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag beyond 2023/24.
It is reported that Man United’s new owners are considering keeping Ten Hag as the club’s manager beyond the current campaign after he guided them to a memorable win over rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
However, things could still change if Dan Ashworth joins the club from Newcastle United next season as their sporting director. Ashworth has previously worked with Gareth Southgate at the FA and this connection could lead to the former Middlesbrough boss taking up residence in Manchester.
