Lionel Messi is said to be furious with Barcelona chiefs after it emerged Manchester United have provisionally agreed a deal to sign French defender Samuel Umtiti.

It is believed Umtiti is happy at Camp Nou, but wants to double his £70,000-per-week wages and the Blaugrana a reluctant to give in to his demands. He is said to have an €80million buyout clause in his contract, and Diario Gol are claiming the Red Devils are closing in on a deal.
United representatives are even said to be searching for accommodation for Umtiti, while Gerard Pique has pleaded with the Barcelona board to reconsider their position on his wages.
Messi, too, is set to join those calls, having just signed a new contract himself. Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde said last month he had no concerns over the player’s future.
