Manchester City handed Kevin De Bruyne & Kyle Walker injury boosts before Arsenal

Manchester City are set to welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium this coming Sunday for a mammoth Premier League meeting.

City are one point off 1st-place Arsenal and 2nd-place Liverpool ahead of the game, meaning they could finish the weekend at the league’s summit with a win over the Gunners. Manchester City are 17/20 with bet365 to beat Arsenal.

Manchester City handed injury boosts

Ahead of the game, Manchester City have been handed some good news on the injury front.

First up, Kyle Walker suffered a hamstring injury against Brazil on Saturday and withdrew from the England squad ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Belgium.

This led to many believing he would miss the Arsenal clash but initial scans suggest the injury is not serious and Walker should be fine to start at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Kevin De Bruyne pulled out of the Belgium squad due to a groin injury but was pictured in training with City on Monday and looks set to be available for the weekend.

While having said duo in the squad is good news for the Sky Blues, they are still sweating over the fitness of centre-back, John Stones, who limped off after 10 minutes vs Belgium.
