Pep Guardiola names Premier League title favourite following Manchester City’s draw with Arsenal

Sunday saw all three of the current Premier League title challengers take to the pitch in their respective bids to become champions.

Liverpool beat Brighton 2-1 in the early kick-off before Manchester City and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw at the Etihad. Following these games, Liverpool are the 6/5 favourites with bet365 to win the league.

After Sunday’s games, Arsenal have been knocked off top spot by Liverpool, who have a two-point lead over the Gunners.

Manchester City, meanwhile, sit 3rd in the table and three points off top spot with a worse goal difference than Jurgen Klopp’s side.

This, of course, has caused many people to view Liverpool as favourites to win the Premier League this term. One of which is Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola.

Asked if Liverpool are now favourites for the title, the Spaniard said post-Arsenal: “Yep. First is always favourite. Second is Arsenal.

“Third, we are. It’s not in our hands. Villa; next game, try to win it. It’s simple.”
