Premier League Title Odds: Manchester City lead Arsenal in betting

Manchester City are the current favourites to win the 2024/25 Premier League, leading Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the betting.

The Citizens clinched a fourth successive league title in 2023/24, beating West Ham on the final day to ensure they finished above Arsenal.

Man City are once again expected to be firmly in the title picture in the forthcoming season, but Arsenal’s continued progress over the last couple of campaigns under Mikel Artea plus the arrival of Arne Slot at Liverpool could threaten Pep Guaridol’as reign of dominance.

2024/25 Premier League Title Odds: The Contenders

Manchester City

Manchester City are currently 10/11 favourites to defend their Premier League crown and it is easy to see why. The Sky Blues have dominated English football since Pep Guardiola’s arrival and as shown this past season, can win the league even if they do not look at their best for large periods.

Pep is expected to stay in 2024/25, while the likes of Phil Foden - who won the Premier League Player of the Season recently - and Erling Haaland are only expected to continue developing into even better world-class talents as each season passes.

Arsenal

Will 2024/25 finally be Arsenal’s year? The Gunners have come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Mikel Arteta and while 2023/24 will be seen as a disappointment by many of the north London faithful, it was a season of progress.

Arsenal’s title challenge in 2022/23 ended with a rather spectacular collapse in April, while this campaign saw the Gunners take City down to the final day. Mikel Arteta’s squad is also quite young, with key players such as Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Declan Rice expected to continue growing and developing over the next several years.

Liverpool

After being Manchester City’s closest title challengers for several years and winning the league themselves in 2019/20, Liverpool have fallen off somewhat in the last two campaigns. The Reds ended 2023/24 3rd and nine adrift of City.

Liverpool, of course, will also head into 2024/25 without Jurgen Klopp at the helm. The German’s success on Merseyside will be hard to repeat for Arne Slot, but a fresh name in the dugout could be just what Liverpool need to get back to their best.

Chelsea

On paper, Chelsea have a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title. The Blues’ spending over the last year or so handed Mauricio Pochettino a plethora of talent in most positions. However, the South American left the club recently, meaning a new manager will be at the helm come the start of 2024/25.

Whoever Chelsea appoint as their new head coach could have a major bearing on their success in the forthcoming campaign, but whichever manager decides to take the reigns should have a decent shot at challenging for the title given the squad at their disposal and the potential for even more signings this summer.
