Raphael Varane, Marcus Rashford & Luke Shaw injury latest before Bournemouth vs Manchester United

Manchester United are set to travel down south to face Bournemouth in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off this week.

Man United have won just one of their last five league games, though they have faced Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in that run. Back Manchester United to beat Bournemouth at 6/4 with bet365.

Latest injury news for Manchester United trio

Ahead of the clash with Bournemouth, injury updates on several key Manchester United stars have emerged.

First up, Erik ten Hag provided a downbeat assessment of Raphael Varane’s injury situation after the Liverpool draw this past weekend.

Varane was taken off versus Chelsea and was then unavailable vs Liverpool, with Ten Hag saying: “I don’t think at short notice they will return.”

Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford appeared to be struggling with an injury during the aforementioned meeting with Liverpool and signalled to the bench before being taken off. It is not clear what issue the forward had picked up and his return date is currently unknown.

Finally, Luke Shaw is in a race to be fit before the end of the campaign, with Gareth Southgate describing his chances of making Euro 2024 as ‘touch and go’ last month.
