Slovakia v Romania Betting Tips, Odds & Match Preview - Euro 2024
It’s all to play for in Group E at Euro 2024, as Romania, Belgium, Slovakia and Ukraine have failed to separate themselves after three two rounds of topsy-turvy matches.
Each side has won one and lost one in this ultra-competitive group, leaving all permutations open on Wednesday with each side sitting on three points.
But it’s Romania who have the slight advantage in their goals scored and goals difference, leading the table as they meet Slovakia on Wednesday evening.
We’ve looked at some of the best football betting offers, odds and markets from our range of football betting sites to provide you with Slovakia v Romania betting tips.

Slovakia v Romania Match Preview
On a knife’s edge
There’s been a degree of Jekyll and Hyde to both Slovakia and Romania’s performances so far, both looking pretty competent in their victories (Romania 3-0 Ukraine, Slovakia 1-0 Belgium) and bang average in their losses (Romania 0-2 Belgium, Slovakia 1-2 Ukraine).
The fact that they have both lost to the side that the other one built, unsurprisingly the draw is as short as 23/20 in Frankfurt on Wednesday night, with both sides likely to advance if they can record four points and, importantly, there is a winner in the other fixture.
Despite conceding two second half strikes to Ukraine on Saturday, Slovakia’s defence has looked decent so far this tournament. Martin Dubravka in goal and Milan Skriniar have things well organised, and with the competent Stanislav Lokotka in front of them able to dictate play, Slovakia will feel hard done by if they don’t escape this group.
Romania were pretty explosive in their opener against Ukraine but their defensive frailties were on show against a Belgium side that should have scored more.
Slovakia are the slight favourites here, and we think a single goal will be enough for Francesco Calzona’s side in Frankfurt. Slovakia to win by one goal sits at 15/4 with bet365.
Schranz the danger man
It hasn’t been a competition of multi-scorers so far, but Ivan Schranz is one man that has been able to bag two goals so far at Euro 2024.
The 30-year-old Slavia Prague striker scored in starts against both Belgium and Ukraine, off of what has been a pretty bleak spell in front of goal for his club side.
But momentum is everything at a major tournament and form can often go out of the window. We saw something similar with Patrik Schick at the last Euros, and 4/1 with bet365 says that Schranz can add to his tally against Romania.
