With a joint-record eight seeds falling at the first hurdle, all eyes are on the second round in Sheffield as more players look to make a name for themselves.

Si is once again making himself home inside the Crucible.
Dubbed the “Giant Killer”, the Chinese youngster battled past Mark Williams in the first round on Tuesday, earning himself a second round fixture against an unlikely Jak Jones.
Jones beat 11th seed Zhang Anda 10-4 in his opener, but is facing a different animal in Si who is building on his debut semi-final run from last season.
Si is a fantastic scorer and having failed to make a century in 19 frames against Williams we are expecting a flood in the second round.
He rattled in eight 100+ breaks last season at the World Championship, and with three in qualifying for this year’s tournament he is more than capable of two against Jones.
Stephen Maguire vs Shaun Murphy – Maguire +1.5 handicap at 11/10 with bet365 (Friday 26th April, 14:30)
Stephen Maguire has rolled back the years in reaching the second round of the World Championship this season, but will need his A+ game in check if he is to negate the skill of the “Magician”.
Maguire hit two centuries in knocking out Ali Carter in the opening round and has his tail up following some good wins in qualifying despite a rocky season.
Murphy is a Crucible great having won back in 2005, and having reached three finals since will be desperate for a return to the top of the hill.
Murphy hasn’t had the best season, but when he is dialled in in the big ones he can often pull out some memorable performances. But Maguire is scoring heavily when he gets in, and this one could easily go down to the wire.
Murphy’s price at 1/2 feels huge, so a +1.5 head start for Maguire at 11/10 looks good.
