Which stars are heading to the Premier League this summer?
With the Premier League season finally over, we welcome the summer transfer window. Whilst it doesn’t officially open until the 1st of July, there are a number of rumours already flying around. So, which big names may we see arriving in England this summer?
Kylian Mbappe may only be 18 but the striker has a number of the Premier League’s top clubs, plus Real Madrid on his tail. The striker scored an incredible 26 goals this season to help Monaco to their first league title in 17-years, as well as the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Mbappe started the season as back up to both Valere Germain and Radamel Falcao but has since blew not only Ligue One away but the Champions League too. He scored an impressive six times in Europe, a haul which undoubtedly helped to make his debut for the French national time.
It’s no surprise that the forward is being linked with a world record fee, though the player himself has stated he has no intention of leaving Monaco if he is not guaranteed game time. But with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City said to be knocking, his head may be swayed.
Iker Casillas is also being linked with a move to England. Liverpool have reportedly offered the 36-year-old a deal, with clubs in Turkey, China and Qatar also interested. The goalkeeper is nearing the end of his contract with Porto and it’s a given that the Spaniard will not be short of options.
One of the best ‘keepers in the world during his prime, Casillas would be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side. He was a key player in the Porto side that narrowly missed out on the league title to Benfica. The club finished second but Casillas’ talent is evident in the fact the team conceded just 19 goals, the second fewest in the league behind winners Benfica.
Elsewhere, Arsenal are reportedly in talks with the agent of Henry Onyekuru. The striker is just 19-years-old but is the top scorer in Belgium’s top flight with an impressive 20 goals.
The KAS Eupen star would cost Arsenal just £6.8million and should he choose to join the Gunners, they would pip Everton, Southampton and West Brom to his signature. Though, if Arsene Wenger does cool his interest, the forward has a number of options available in England he is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
Wenger is also eyeing up Alexis Sanchez’s replacement in the form of Hulk should the Chilean choose to leave. The Brazilian has spent a year in China and currently plays for Shanghai SIPG.
The forward has five goals in ten appearances for his club this season and would undoubtedly help bring goals to the Emirates. That said, he is far from the quality of Alexis Sanchez and Wenger is going to need to better than that if his side are to regain a Champions League spot.
Perhaps the most exciting rumour of all thus far is that of Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United. The Frenchman has increasingly been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid and upon their last game at the Vicente Calderon, it seems as though the striker was saying goodbye to the Atletico faithful.
Griezmann boasts 28 goals in 58 appearances this term and is said to head Jose Mourinho’s transfer wish list. He would be a huge boost to a United side, that have quite frankly, been somewhat shy in front of goal this season. The 26-year-old hinted that he is ready to join up with international teammate Paul Pogba and this week described his chances of joining the Reds as “six out of ten”.
