- Rashid Khan to take two or more wickets - 13/8 with Betway
- Quinton de Kock to score a fifty - 5/2 with bet365
- Rashid Khan to be Afghanistan’s top bowler - 16/5 with Betfred
- De Kock to score a fifty, Rashid to take 1+ wicket - 17/2 with William Hill
- South Africa win, them to hit most sixes and for the Proteas to have the highest score at the first dismissal - 13/8 with William Hill
Whoever wins this semi-final, it will be quite the story.
For so long, South Africa have tried and failed to reach the final of a major world event, often carrying the tag of chokers having fallen short.
For Afghanistan, they are threatening the hierarchy in such an amazing way, beating Tasman duo New Zealand and Australia along the way in this event.
But I think this semi-final will be a step too far for Rashid Khan and company. South Africa will just have too much power for them on this occasion.
Instead of going on the outright South Africa win at 7/19, I would be taking William Hill’s 13/8 - via their Match Trebles - on a South Africa win, them to hit most sixes and for the Proteas to have the highest score at the first dismissal.

South Africa v Afghanistan T20 World Cup Betting Tips
Q-’win’-ton de Kock
Before I come to Quinton de Kock, I would be taking betway’s 13/8 on Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan to take two or more wickets in this overnight fixture.
Leg-spinner Khan has been excellent in this event, taking 14 wickets in seven appearances, including a pair of four-wicket hauls. One of them was against Bangladesh in the win which secured their semi-final spot on Monday.
If Afghanistan are to have any chance of winning this game, I believe he has to be a significant contributor.
You may accuse me of being stubborn when it comes to South Africa opener de Kock, who we have sided with in more than one recent T20 World Cup Betting Tips preview.
But I don’t see any reason for change. In two of his last three innings, he’s posted scores of 74 and 65, and I would be keen to side with him at 5/2 with bet365 to score a fifty in this fixture.
Back to Khan, I think Betfred’s 16/5 on him to be Afghanistan’s top bowler in the match has definite appeal. Seamer Fazalhaq Farooqi may have taken more wickets than him - 16 - in this event, but there’s no doubt in my mind who the biggest threat is.
And finally, let’s combine success for both men - Khan and de Kock - in a very juicy William Hill #YourOdds combination bet.
They are offering 17/2 on de Kock to score a fifty and for Khan to take over one wicket. That has certainly got to be worth a small stakes approach.
