Team USA have today finalised their 12-man basketball squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and to say it’s packed full of stars would be an understatement.
They dominate the game, but this time around, are probably in for one of their toughest ever assignments, with Germany, Canada, France and Serbia all having a legitimate chance to cause an upset.
It would still be an upset of course, the Team USA men’s basketball team are heavily odds on to win the gold medal in Paris, and when you read who’s made the cut, it’s easy to see why.
Team USA Men’s Basketball Roster Announced
Here are the 12 men tasked with winning a fifth gold medal in a row for Team USA:

- Stephen Curry — Golden State Warriors
- Kevin Durant — Phoenix Suns
- Joel Embiid — Philadelphia 76ers
- Anthony Davis — Los Angeles Lakers
- Devin Booker — Phoenix Suns
- Anthony Edwards — Minnesota Timberwolves
- Jayson Tatum — Boston Celtics
- Bam Adebayo — Miami Heat
- Tyrese Haliburton — Indiana Pacers
- Jrue Holiday — Boston Celtics
- Kawhi Leonard - Los Angeles Clippers
The last time the USA national team failed to win gold at the Olympics in the men’s division was all the way back in 2004, losing to Argentina in the semi finals, the year LeBron James made his Olympic debut.
Steph Curry joins James and despite his illustrious career on the court, it will be the first time that Curry has played in the Olympics.
Kevin Durrant is a man who could make history, should the US win gold. He’s one of two players to have three Olympic golds in men’s basketball, a win here would give him four and the outright lead.
Elsewhere, the rest of the roster is packed full of talent, every single player is a legit top tier talent in the NBA right now. This depth is something the other nations won’t be able to match, and will instead rely on a smaller core of players, and more togetherness and understanding as the US team don’t play as many tournaments.

So far, the schedule for the group stage has been put in place, but the Team USA men only know two out of their three opponents, with qualifiers still to be played to determine the final few spots at the tournament.
