The Hundred Cricket Betting Tips: London Spirit v Welsh Fire, Southern Brave v Manchester Originals
It’s been an open Hundred which has kicked into life after a slow start. Of these four sides, only London Spirit women have a 100 percent winning record. Will that continue?
- Southern Brave men to win, Southern Brave women to win, London Spirit women to win - 3/1 with Betfred
- Lauren Bell to take 2+ wickets - 11/10 with bet365
- Dan Worrall to be London Spirit men’s top bowler - 4/1 with Paddy Power
- Sarah Glenn to take 2+ wickets - 5/4 with bet365
- James Vince, Phil Salt to top-score for their teams - 13/1 with bet365
When assessing these four sides, the biggest surprise is that the Southern Brave women have started as slowly as they have, failing to win either of their first two games.
But I do expect them to improve and use an impressive bowling display to secure a tie against Northern Superchargers yesterday, when defending only 100, as a springboard.
The most likely winners tomorrow I believe are both Brave sides and the high-flying London Spirit women, who are all odds on. So let’s have those in a win treble, which is available at 3/1 with Betfred.
We’ve put together a collection of our top Hundred cricket betting tips along with the best offers available from our online betting sites.
The Hundred Cricket Betting Tips
London Spirit v Welsh Fire - Hundred Betting Tips
In five of her last eight Hundred matches, London Spirit’s England leg-spinner Sarah Glenn has taken two or more wickets, including two three-wicket hauls and a four-for.
The two three-fors were last season when her 11 wickets through the campaign left her as the competition’s second leading wicket-taker. The four-for came as recently as Saturday in victory over Birmingham Phoenix.
With that in mind, I’d be keen to take bet365′s 5/4 on her to take two or more wickets against the Fire in this fixture (11.30am).
The men’s fixture is the only one I’m not sure about result-wise, which is why I’m swerving it. Fire have won one, lost one and Spirit have lost both.
Paddy Power are offering 4/1 on seamer Dan Worrall, the wily Aussie-born seamer, to be Spirit’s top bowler in the men’s match (3pm).
I think that’s a great price on a bowler of his quality - one who took two early wickets in their weekend defeat against Phoenix. If there’s any help there with the new ball, he’ll find it.
Southern Brave v Manchester Originals - Hundred Betting Tips
It surprises me that Lauren Bell is 11/10 with bet365 to take two or more wickets in the afternoon women’s clash (3pm).
The England seamer was outstanding with 4-11 in their tie against Northern Superchargers at Headingley yesterday, and she is facing a Manchester Originals side who have the ability to be very ordinary with the bat.
They won their last match against Trent Rockets with 137-6 on the board but lost their first against Welsh Fire with 113-7 to their name. Take a look back through Hundred history, and they haven’t been great with the bat.
I’d absolutely back Bell, who bowls in the hotspots of the innings - at the start and at the death - to cover the two wickets for us.
To finish in the men’s match (6.30pm), how about a bet365 double on the two openers and captains, James Vince of the Brave and Phil Salt of the Originals, to top score for their respective sides? That’s available at a juicy 13.06/1 double.
Salt is a go to of mine and is due a score after a couple of failures. The Originals need him to fire to snap a two defeats from two start. Vince, meanwhile, didn’t have a great T20 Blast with Hampshire - unusual for him.
But the Brave man is starting to show signs of a return to form. He hit 56 in their opening win over Spirit and 19 in their defeat to Superchargers. That 19 included four fours in 12 balls. Not a massive score, but it was an eye-catching 19.
