Tottenham vs Burnley Premier League Betting Stats

There are six Premier League games taking place at 3 pm BST on Saturday, May 11, one of which sees Tottenham play host to Burnley.

Tottenham go into the clash as 1/3 favourites to pick up a win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while Burnley can be backed at 13/2 to come away with three points.

Ahead of the fixture, Tottenham are looking to keep their dwindling Champions League hopes alive. Burnley, meanwhile, face a similar struggle in their relegation fight.

Tottenham vs Burnley

It has been a rough few weeks for Tottenham, who head into Saturday’s game having lost four on the spin versus Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Said run has seen Spurs drop down to 5th in the division and seven points adrift of Aston Villa with three to play. The north Londoners do have a game in hand on Unai Emery’s side, which would close the gap to four if they win. But Tottenham would still need Villa to drop points in both of their remaining games to stand a chance of finishing 4th.

As for Burnley, their chances of staving off relegation took a major hit last week when they were smashed 4-1 by Newcastle United.

That result left the Clarets sat five points from safety with a much worse goal difference than 17th-place Nottingham Forest. Burnley’s last game of the season comes against Forest, meaning their survival could still be in their hands on the final day, but they have to beat Tottenham on Saturday or they will be relegated before that match.

  • Tottenham have lost each of their last four games in the Premier League - their longest losing run since November 2004 (a run of six). • Heung-min Son made his 300th Premier League appearance last weekend, becoming just the third player to reach this milestone for Spurs (after Hugo Lloris 361 and Harry Kane 317).
  • Burnley’s defeat was last week their 22nd in the Premier League this season (W5 D9), only in 2009/10 (24) and 1975/76 (23) have the Clarets lost more times in a Football League campaign.
  • Jacob Bruun Larsen, Zeki Amdouni and Lyle Foster are Burnley’s top scorers in the Premier League this season with five goals each. They have the lowest-scoring top scorers of any side in the competition this term.
  • Tottenham have lost just one of their last nine meetings with Burnley in all competitions (1-0 Premier League fixture on February 23, 2022).

Tottenham vs Burnley Top Tip
