A month on from a dramatic WrestleMania 40, we head to France for the first PLE post-Mania, and a first true title defence for Cody Rhodes.
The LDLC Arena in Lyon, France will host Backlash, with the event starting at 6pm UK time on Saturday night, a rare early start time for fans this side of the pond.

WWE Backlash Odds
I have to say, from a betting point of view, this is not the greatest PLE, with many long odds on favourites, and rightfully so, when you look at the matchups and the stories behind them.
Cody Rhodes hasn’t stopped talking about his title win yet, do you really think they’ll take it off him, and do it in France of all places?
Four titles are on the line, all with heavy favourites, but here’s my preview of the bouts, and the latest odds available below.
Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair v The Kabuki Warriors Odds
Do I think Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are set for a long time together as a tag team? Certainly not, but there’s a bigger picture brewing here, where they are ultimately going to turn on each other, leading to a big match between them, potentially at WrestleMania 41.
That doesn’t mean a small run with them holding the title won’t be fun, and it’s certainly what the odds are suggesting.
Jade and Bianca are priced up at 1/14 with Paddy Power while The Kabuki Warriors available at 5/1, and after their long and pretty boring title run, many will be glad to see the back of them with the belts.
Bayley v Naomi v Tiffany Stratton Odds
Bayley defends here title in a triple threat match, and with both Naomi and Tiffany Stratton involved, this has the makings of a great contest.
But this should still result in a win for Bayley, she is 1/7 to win, while Tiffany Stratton is 11/2 and Naomi is 7/1.
While the two challengers are likely to be in a better place in 12 months from now, giving them the title at this point makes little sense, especially with Rhea Ripley out for a while, so Bayley looks the obvious winner.
Damien Priest v Jey Uso Odds
The betting suggests Damien Priest walks out of France with his title belt, he’s priced up at 1/10 to win this, and I do think that outcome is going to happen.
A clear gap continues to appear within the ranks of the Judgement Day, and Priest losing the title could well be linked to that further down the line, so for me, he keeps it for that reason, for now.
Alternatively, another potential loss would be to Drew McIntrye in Scotland at the Clash at the Castle event in June.
But in the back of my mind, there is a small chance Jey Uso comes out on top here, and he is 4/1 to win. He’s on the rise, hugely popular with fans, and is desperate for a storyline away from his brother, which this would give.
Unlikely, but if there is a shock on Saturday, I think this one makes the most sense.
AJ Styles v Cody Rhodes Odds
Let’s be honest here, after a two year build up to “finish his story”, Cody Rhodes is not going to give up that title belt a month later, at Backlash in France.
It’s not going to happen, and the best betting sites agree with that. Rhodes is 1/33 to retain his belt against AJ Styles, who is 10/1, an outcome that seems pretty likely to happen.
I think the first genuine threat to Rhodes’ title run will come at WrestleMania 41, but if he does suffer before that, it will be at a much bigger event, SummerSlam perhaps, and not in France.
