The Champions League may be on in midweek, but there is also plenty of EFL Championship action to get your teeth into.

The Second Tier
If you prefer domestic flutters to continental ones, why not take a look at four of our very best bets for Wednesday night.
On The Fringes
The first of our four clashes takes us to The Hawthorns, as West Brom play host to Blackburn and it is fair to say that both teams have fallen out of play-off favour in recent weeks – a situation they will look to rectify come Wednesday evening.
The Baggies may have been recently distracted by the linking of Carlos Corberan to the managerial post at Leeds. Thankfully for the club, the Spaniard has committed to a new contract but his first act since was a surprise defeat at Birmingham on Friday.
While Blackburn’s slide down the table continues, as Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men have only won one of their last six Championship outings. With such a run of results in mind, my first selection sees the home win being backed at odds of 4/6.
Driving Into Automatic
Next up we go to Bramall Lane and the clash between Sheffield United and Middlesbrough. With second in the table being pitted against third, this could be the defining fixture in regard to who takes the final automatic promotion spot.
Even now it is very difficult to make a case against the Blades not finishing in the top two and with a 10-point gap over ‘Boro it will need a herculean collapse for them not to avoid the play-offs. By the same token, Michael Carrick’s men will not be prepared to throw in the towel just yet.
That is before the game gets underway though and if the gap extends from 10 points to 13, then any promotion race is surely run for the season. Unfortunately for the Riverside Stadium outfit, I am plumping for the sharper of the two teams to come out on top and a home win at Evens.
Finding Good Form
Now we are off to Ashton Gate as Bristol City play host to Wigan and although Shaun Maloney has got off to a solid start as manager of the Latics, he now finds himself going up an opponent that is in rather good form.
With Nigel Pearson’s men currently unbeaten in their last six league outings, they possess the best run that does not include either Burnley or Sheffield United. Should this run continue further, the play-offs will soon appear on the horizon.
A target that is one too far for Wigan and after a shocking run of results under former manager Kolo Toure, avoiding relegation is the simple remit for their new man in charge. However, the bottom three will still be there on Thursday morning, as I back the home win at 19/20.
Welcome Back Neil
While my final pick takes me Stoke’s Bet365 Stadium and with Neil Warnock dusting off his tracksuit for ‘one-more’ job, the 74-year-old has been tasked with helping Huddersfield avoid the drop down to League One at the end of the season.
Considering the Terriers are only a point from safety, this is certainly a task that is achievable on paper. At the same time, this is undoubtedly a squad that needs plenty of TLC and Warnock is not usually the man to hand such a commodity out.
With Stoke not clear of the relegation zone themselves a win on home soil would surely be welcomed. However, I am a big fan of new manager bounce, and this is why I have plumped for Huddersfield to earn at a least a point in midweek.
While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 11.4/1 in return.
