ITV4 cameras will be at Haydock Park on Sunday afternoon to cover the Sky Bet Super Sunday Series card. We have two horse racing tips for the seven-race card at the Merseyside racecourse along with a selection for the Group 1 Arc Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.
“Tip of the Day” - Run For Oscar (6.45pm Haydock) - 13/8 with Coral
Charles Byrnes’ 144-rated hurdler looks the one to beat in this two mile Flat handicap following an unlucky run at the Curragh last time and off a mark of only 82.
6.45pm Haydock
Run For Oscar is the one they all have to beat
At 13/8 a £10 bet would return £26.25

Our Tip: Artorius (Nb) (e.w.) - 9/2 with William Hill (5 places)
A tremendous renewal of this Group 1 six and a half furlong Group 1 contest. Conditions will suit Commonwealth Cup victor Perfect Power much better than was the case in Newmarket’s July Cup last time and Richard Fahey’s stable star has every chance of winning at the highest level for the fourth time.
Godolphin’s Noble Crown and the rapidly improving Harry Three are just two more who have to be respected. But following excellent efforts in this country when third in both the Platinum Jubilee and July Cup, Australian challenger ARTORIUS (ew) is taken to finally get his head in front with conditions to suit.
The four-year-old should appreciate this extended six furlong trip on soft ground and it can be a case of third time lucky for this top Australian sprinters’ venture onto the European racing scene.
2.55pm Deauville
With conditions to suit Artorius looks a solid each way bet
At 9/2 a £10 win bet would return £55

Our Tip: Disputed (e.w.) (Longshot) - 10/1 with bet365
A winner over today’s course and distance last month, the Adrian Paul Keatley-trained DISPUTED (Longshot) looks fairly treated on her handicap debut racing off a mark of 77 for this seven furlong nursery.
The daughter of Zoffany still looked pretty green when running out a comfortable winner at the Merseyside track on her third and most recent start. Oisin Orr’s mount, with proven form under today’s conditions and with more improvement expected, is fancied to follow up at the main expense of recent Epsom winner Indian Dream and the consistent Urban Sprawl.

Disputed looks well handicapped and may be open the further improvement
At 10/1 a £10 win bet would return £110

Our Tip: Run For Oscar (Nap) - 13/8 with Coral
With a hurdles rating of 144, Irish raider RUN FOR OSCAR (Nap) is expected to take plenty of beating in this two mile handicap off a Flat mark of just 82. The Charles Byrnes-trained seven-year-old returned to the level this year for two races at the Curragh, the most recent being a competitive two mile handicap back in June.
The mount of Ben Curtis looked full of running when coming to challenge approaching the final two furlongs, until finding himself short of room. After losing his position and having to be switched, the Oscar gelding made eye catching late headway to finish third, beaten just under six lengths.
This looks an ideal opportunity for Run For Oscar to record his second win on the Flat, the first coming at Killarney just over two years ago. The hat-trick seeking dual course winner Arctic Fox looks the main danger.

Run For Oscar (Nap) should take plenty of beating off a mark of 82
At 13/8 a £10 bet would return £26.25
