Euro 2020 Group F Betting Guide

Group F more than lived up to its billing as the one to watch in Euro 2020.

It all ended with a fantastic, unmissable night in which the teams swapped positions frantically as the goals flew in in both matches.

Hungary, who had been written off as the whipping boys, came agonisingly close to qualifying by beating Germany but ultimately ended up bottom of the group as Germany snuck second place with a 2-2 draw and another 2-2 draw was enough to see France through as group winners and Portugal in third place.

France have not yet hit top gear but they remain the favourites to win Euro 2020 at 4/1 with Paddy Power while Germany face a mouth-watering Round of 16 clash with England at Wembley Stadium.

Group F Locations: Germany (Fußball Arena München, Munich), Hungary (Puskás Aréna, Budapest)

We all knew that Group F was the group of death but nobody knew that Hungary would play such a big role.

After holding out for 85 minutes against Portugal, Hungary got a draw against France in front of a full house in Budapest and have a very real chance to qualify ahead of their match with Germany.

France are assured of a top three finish but could still slip up against Portugal who are smarting after losing 4-2 to Germany in Munich on Saturday.

With the new format announced for Euro 2020, both Germany and Hungary were guaranteed to be part of Group F should they qualify for the tournament. As both sides qualified, a random draw was made to decide which side will be at home in their head to head fixture.

Euro 2020 Betting – Group F

The bookies aren’t offering odds on France qualifying any more and the odds available on Germany and Portugal making it through are very short now as it looks as though third place in Group F will earn a spot in the Round of 16.

If you fancy an upset then Hungary are 14/1 with BetVictor to qualify.

France have not been convincing just yet and if they make a mistake against Portugal and Germany beat Hungary as expected then a bet on the Germany/Portugal straight forecast would be worth chancing at 3/1 with bet365*.
