With the Euro 2024 qualifiers beginning in earnest on Thursday, there is a bumper-packed schedule to look forward to.
If you fancy a flutter on the goals section, then we have handpicked a tempting treble that pays out at 14/1 with bet365.
Euro 2024 qualifiers Acca – 14/1
- Portugal v Liechtenstein – Over 6.5 goals
- Italy v England – Over 2.5 goals
- Denmark v Finland – Under 2.5 goals
Portugal v Liechtenstein – Over 6.5 goals
A new era for Portuguese football is set to begin with Roberto Martinez patrolling the touchline for the first time.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been plying his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr, is Portugal’s record goalscorer, and he is closing in on picking up 200 caps.
Liechtenstein have crossed paths on a few occasions with Portugal, and this will be their first meeting since 2009.
Portugal are undefeated against Liechtenstein, and they have enjoyed a couple of 8-0 victories that underline their superiority in this particular fixture.
Once again, Portugal could run riot, and a 3/1 price for Over 6.5 goals seems like decent value if you fancy adding that to your slip.
Italy v England – Over 2.5 goals
Italy v England is one of those storied fixtures in international football, and many will of course remember the bloodied clash between these two giants at the Tournoi de France in 1997.
Fast forward 20 odd years, and England’s struggles against the Italians have been well documented as they haven’t won any of their past six meetings.
It will be fascinating to see how Gareth Southgate will line up his side, and there were a few interesting if not well deserved picks for the squad announcement, including Brentford hitman Ivan Toney.
England and Italy will duke it out for top spot in their qualifying group, and it could be a tight clash. For my second pick, I have gone with thee Over 2.5 goals section, which is available at 23/20.
Denmark v Finland – Under 2.5 goals
Denmark were below par at the World Cup, but they should comfortably top Group H for the qualifying segment.
Finland will also be in contention, and when they last faced the Danes, they came away with a 1-0 win on their previous trip to Copenhagen.
That said, Finland have tasted just one win in their previous five international competitive fixtures.
This may not be a high-scoring affair, and I have rounded things off with Under 2.5 goals for this game, which is priced at a short 4/5.
