The Coral Cup Handicap 2022 Betting Odds, Runners Preview

The first handicap of the second Cheltenham Festival day and one of the toughest handicaps of the entire week.

This two miles and five furlongs handicap hurdle usually throws up a gamble or two on the day of the race so it is always worth trying to pick out an early fancy. Big odds winners are very common in this race although the 5/1 favourite Dame De Compagnie took the spoils in 2020.

In 2021, it was a 33/1 shot Heaven Help Us, trained by Paul Hennessy, who was previously best known as a greyhound trainer, who made every yard and was left clear at the finish when Blue Sari stumbled, but the winner had already flown.
