2020 King George VI Chase Recap

Last year’s King George saw somewhat of an upset, as 20-1 outsider Frodon produced a typically brave performance from the front under Bryony Frost to give trainer Paul Nicholls a record twelfth win in the race.

The former Ryanair Chase winner led all the way to defeat Saint Calvados, with dual-winner Clan Des Obeaux in third. Frodon will be back to defend his crown in 2021, with the placed horses returning to attempt to knock off him his perch, alongside new challengers including Cheltenham Festival winners Chantry House and Minella Indo.
