Ange Postecoglou speaks out on Tottenham title challenge
Tottenham have had a decent 2023/24 Premier League campaign so far. It began with the Lilywhites going unbeaten in their first 10 games of the season before an injury crisis led to a dip in form.
Spurs are now 5th in the table after 30 games but they will move into the top-four if they win their game in hand on Aston Villa. Back Tottenham to finish in the top-four at 4/6 with BetVictor.
Ange Postecoglou on potential Tottenham title challenge
After the first 10 games of the season, it did look as though Tottenham could be in the Premier League title race this term.
That dream has since faded, but Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou believes his side can challenge for the league title in the 2024/25 campaign.
When asked if he expects Tottenham to be in the title race in 12 months, Postecoglou stated recently: “I hope so, or why am I doing what I’m doing? That’s why I came to the club.
“As somebody said to me last week, ‘Just do your job, Ange’. And my job is to try to bring success - and if you don’t think you’re going to be in the title race in 12 months’ time, then I don’t know why I’m here.”
Tottenham have certainly impressed under the Australian, especially after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer.
But it is probably fair to say their current squad is not on the same level as the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, should the north Londoners make some smart signings during the 2024 summer transfer window, they could well be in the title picture this time next year.
