Arsenal Title Odds: Now 9/4 after Tottenham win
Arsenal travelled across the English capital on Sunday afternoon to face off with bitter rivals, Tottenham, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a Premier League clash.
The Reds were favourites heading into the game as they looked to continue their 2023/24 Premier League title charge.
When all was said and done, an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg plus efforts from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz saw the Gunners come away with a 3-2 win. Arsenal were 3-0 up in the tie and were just about able to hold off a second-half fight-back from Spurs after a Cristian Romero goal and an 87th-minute Heung-min Son penalty gave Ange Postecoglou’s side a small chance of rescuing a draw.
Arsenal Premier League Title Odds
After seeing off their bitter rivals over the weekend, Arsenal have managed to maintain their spot at the top of the table for at least another week. The Gunners sit on 80 points with 35 games played of the campaign and are 9/4 to win the title this term.
After spending the majority of the previous season top of the Premier League before a rather spectacular collapse in April of 2023, it looks as though Mikel Arteta’s men may finally go all the way this time around.
Despite having a fairly small squad and injury issues plaguing their backline for much of the season, Arsenal have been the most consistent side in the top flight this term.
Arsenal have lost just one league game across all of 2024 (versus Aston Villa) and they have a fairly easy end to the season, with Manchester United away likely the only fixture left they could drop points in. However, the title remains out of their hands as 2nd-place Manchester City will go above them if they win their game in hand.
Arsenal’s remaining Premier League fixtures
- Bournemouth (H) May 4
- Manchester United (A) May 12
- Everton (H) May 19
Who will win the 2023/24 Premier League title?
Manchester City (79 points)
As mentioned above, Arsenal’s main title rival heading into the final few weeks of the season is current 4/11 favourites, Manchester City.
The Sky Blues are a point below Arsenal in the standings following their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday but will overtake the north Londoners by winning their game in hand.
Man City’s remaining fixtures this term are fairly kind, but their game in hand is set to prove the biggest test and the outcome will likely decide who wins the league. Pep Guardiola’s side travel to Tottenham in midweek on May 14 and need to win to knock Arsenal off top spot. City have dropped points to Tottenham in their last two Premier League meetings and will be desperate to avoid doing so next month.
Manchester City’s remaining Premier League fixtures
- Wolves (H) May 4
- Fulham (A) May 11
- Tottenham (A) May 14
- West Ham (H) May 19
Liverpool (75 points)
Despite spending a good chunk of 2023/24 so far sat top of the table, Liverpool’s title hopes are all but over.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham United over the weekend, meaning they have now won just one in five league matches.
This collapse has seen Liverpool drift five points off the Premier League summit and four points off Manchester City, who have played a game more. It is still mathematically possible for the Reds to win the league, but it would take something of a miracle at this stage.
Liverpool’s remaining Premier League fixtures
- Tottenham (H) May 5
- Aston Villa (A) May 13
- Wolves (H) May 19
