Boxing Betting Tips: 7/1 Acca ft Dubois, Simpson, Forrest and more
The Steel City of Sheffield hosts a night of BOXXER action on Saturday night and there’s a familiar name on the card in this week's boxing betting tips.
Caroline Dubois was recently elevated to world champion by the WBC, but gets the opportunity to rubber-stamp that honour against Jessica Camara, joining her big brother, Daniel, as a reigning world champion.
Elsewhere, we tap into a domestic banger for the British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles and check in on the progression of 6-0 Scott Forrest.
It’s a 7/1 shot of picks this weekend – read on to see which side of the fences we have fallen down, plus the best boxing betting offers currently available from the top betting sites.
Boxing Betting Tips
Scott Forrest vs Deevorn Miller – Fight to go the Distance
Cruiserweight prospect Scott Forrest gets a solid step up on his pro journey this weekend, taking on Londoner Deevorn Miller.
Miller has two losses on his 10-fight slate, and was arguably found out against Lewis Oakfield in October in a one-sided 10-rounder.
It’s time for Forrest to start making moves in the division.
He was a successful amateur but has yet to get the motor running in the paid ranks, running 6-0 since turning over in early 2022.
Expect Forrest to get this one done on the scorecards as he chases a return to the ring in the next couple of months.
Callum Simpson to beat Steed Woodall by Decision/Technical Decision
Callum Simpson is riding an unlikely wave in his career at the moment.
The Barnsley boy moved 15-0 at Oakwell Football Ground last time out convincingly beating the talented Zak Chelli, and now puts his British and Commonwealth titles on the line against the experienced Steed Woodall.
At 30 years old, Woodall is also a surprise name to be seen in a fight of this magnitude.
Last June, “The Stallion” stopped big favourite Lerrone Richards inside six rounds to win the WBO inter-continental title at super-middleweight, and now has the chance to test himself against one of the very best in the country.
Woodall has fought in Poland, Dominican Rep, USA and only four times as a pro in the UK – this wealth of experience should have taught Woodall how to stick it out with a top-class operator like Simpson, but by the end of this fight the scorecards could look very lop-sided in favour of the champion.
Caroline Dubois vs Jessica Camara – Under 5.5 Rounds
Now 10-0 (5KO), “Sweet” Caroline Dubois is making some fast moves in the lightweight division.
The youngster sister of IBF mens world champion Daniel Dubois has eased through her early tests as a professional and looks a strong favourite to pick up her eleventh win and outright world championship status against the seasoned Jessica Camara.
The Canadian challenger is 14-4 with only 3 stoppages to her name, but with four wins on the spin is looking to use this momentum in a crowning night in her career.
“The Cobra” has never fought in the UK before, but a recent win in South Korea as the away fighter will give her confidence travelling to the Steel City.
Dubois has looked levels above the competition she has been in with so far and it’s unlikely that BOXXER will be taking unnecessary risks with her at this stage in her career.
She’s due a knockout (Dubois has won her last three fights vis UD) and without much power coming back from Camara Saturday night could be the night.
