Champions League Tips and Predictions
RB Salzburg to win and BTTS - No
The Austrian club did much of the hard work in the first leg, beating Kyiv 2-0 on the road. It means they are just one solid performance away from reaching the Champions League but they have been in such consistent form that I expect them to show their class again and coast through this tie, recording another clean sheet on the way.
Galatasaray to win
It was an entertaining first leg but probably not the one most people expected, as Young Boys beat Galatasaray 3-2 in the reverse fixture, winning the game with an 86th-minute penalty after the Turkish giants had been shown a red card.
Galatasaray had come from two down in the first place, so this second tie won’t be a walkover but I do expect the famed hostile atmosphere to get the Turkish side through without needing extra-time.
Sparta Prague to win
Sparta are another side who had no real difficulties in their first leg despite being on the road, and so I expect more of the same this time. They dropped points domestically at the weekend but that has been only a tiny blip in a fine start to the season and while Malmo have also been in good form, I don’t think they will have enough to seriously challenge the hosts.
