Eagles v Commanders Tips: NFL NFC Championship Predictions & Betting Offers

The 2025 NFL Playoffs championship games are scheduled for Sunday, 26 January, with the betting action kicking off at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia for the NFC Championship, so we’ve crafted our Eagles v Commanders tips in the form of a bet builder.
Washington and Philadelphia split their regular-season series. The Eagles secured a 26-18 victory as 4.5-point home favourites in Week 11, while the Commanders hit back with a 36-33 home triumph in Week 16, upsetting the Eagles as 4.5-point underdogs.
Leading UK betting sites now list the Commanders as 6-point road underdogs, with the total set at 47.5 points.

Saquon Barkley Over 131.5 Rushing Yards
We successfully cashed in on our bet builder last weekend, thanks to Saquon Barkley. The Eagles edged past the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 in the divisional round, with Barkley delivering another outstanding performance. He dazzled with 26 carries for a remarkable 205 yards and two touchdowns.
The Rams had no answer for Barkley, whose 78-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter extended the Eagles’ lead to 28-15. We anticipate a similar display from Barkley as he faces the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game.
Washington pulled off a pair of upsets in the playoffs, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 in the wild-card round before shocking the top-seeded Detroit Lions 45-31 in the divisional round.
However, their run defence was exposed, allowing 201 rushing yards on 23 carries against Detroit. During the regular season, the Commanders conceded 137.5 rushing yards per game (30th in the NFL) and 4.8 yards per carry (tied 28th).
In Week 11, Barkley dominated the Commanders with 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He followed up with another impressive outing in Week 16, amassing 150 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, once again exploiting Washington’s struggling run defence.
The Eagles’ ground game has been a powerhouse all season. With one of the best offensive lines in the league and Barkley arguably the top running back in the NFL, Philadelphia’s rushing attack is formidable.
Barkley led the league in the regular season with 2,005 rushing yards, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. The All-Pro has topped 150 rushing yards in three of his last four games, including his stellar performance against the Rams.
Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown Scorer
As highlighted, Saquon Barkley was a constant thorn in the Commanders’ side during the regular season. He scored two touchdowns in each of his matchups against Washington, and we anticipate him adding to that total in the NFC Championship Game.
The Commanders’ defence ranked third in the NFL in passing yards allowed during the regular season (189.5 per game). However, they conceded 43 offensive touchdowns, 18 of which were on the ground. Only four teams surrendered more touchdowns to opposing running backs than Washington.
Additionally, the Commanders struggled in red-zone defence, giving up 32 touchdowns on 53 attempts (60.4%, 22nd in the NFL). It’s no surprise, therefore, that Barkley is the clear favourite to find the end zone on Sunday.
During the 2024 regular season, Barkley tallied 15 touchdowns in 16 games—13 on the ground and two through the air. Although he didn’t score against the Packers in the divisional round, he bounced back with two touchdowns against the Rams.
In his 11 career appearances against Washington, Barkley has recorded 12 touchdowns, significantly more than against any other team in the league.
