First Test: Pakistan v England Cricket Betting Tips & Betting Offers
England aim for repeat success against struggling Pakistan
In late 2022, England won 3-0 in Pakistan and were superb in becoming the first country ever to win three matches in a series in Pakistan. This time, success wouldn’t be as impressive as the hosts are in disarray check out our free Pakistan v England betting tips plus the top cricket betting offers from the best betting sites.

Pakistan v England Cricket Betting Tips
England head to Pakistan as favourites to win the series. And that’s no surprise despite them having fallibilities on foreign soil, highlighted by a New Year 4-1 defeat in India.
But the hosts, led by under-fire captain Shan Masood and coach Jason Gillespie - two men who Yorkshire fans will know especially well, are in turmoil.
They have lost their last five Test Matches, including a 2-0 home defeat against Bangladesh last month.
Previously, their 3-0 defeat in Australia either side of Christmas wasn’t as surprising, but still they were hammered.
England will expect to win, even though they haven’t won an away series since the last time they travelled to Pakistan almost two years ago. Since then, they have drawn in New Zealand and lost in India.
England are Evens to win this series outright with bet365, a price I would be taking. Their spin department looks strong, led by in-form Somerset duo Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach, and they have one of the world’s best batters against spin in Joe Root.
Pakistan are on the brink of a meltdown - Masood will surely get moved on as captain if they lose this.
Despite not playing a Test Match since late January because of injury, left-arm spinner Leach is in sparkling form at present. He claimed 36 wickets in the final five Vitality County Championship matches for third-placed Somerset.
He has been selected alongside Bashir to play, and I would be taking bet365’s 5/2 on him to be England’s top bowler in the series.
England to get off to a flyer, despite Stokes absence
Captain Ben Stokes isn’t yet fit to return to the team following the hamstring injury he suffered at the start of August, ruling him out of the 2-1 win against Sri Lanka.
Ollie Pope will continue to lead the side, and I still expect England to win. They’re available at 23/20 with BetVictor to do so, an enticing price.
As much as Joe Root is England’s best batter against spin, Harry Brook is likely to be key to England’s success in this series. He scored 468 runs in three Test Matches during the last series in Pakistan, his first full series as an England Test cricketer, including three hundreds.
He has also just ended the summer with ODI scores of 110, 87 and 72.
Betano have Brook at 6/4 to score a first-innings fifty, a price I would be keen to take on.
I also like William Hill’s #YourOdds price of 13/2 on Brook to score a first-innings fifty and Pakistan opener Saim Ayub to do the same. Ayub, who has only played three Tests in all, scored fifties in each of the recent two Tests at home to Bangladesh.
