Rijeka to win to nil vs Hunedoara
Hunedoara are once again tagged as big underdogs in this tie. This Romanian side is competing in European competitions for the first time in the club’s history after winning the national cup last season, while also being promoted from tier two to the top division. I don’t think they have the experience to battle one of the strongest Croatian teams, making a home win to nil the best bet.
Paksi to win or draw vs AEK Larnaca
Paksi had an amazing 2023/24 season in Hungary, winning the national cup and finishing 2nd behind Ferencvaros in the top division. They crushed AEK Larnaca in the first tie 3-0, and I don’t see them losing in Cyprus.
Vaduz to beat St Patrick’s Athletic
St Patrick’s ended their three-game losing streak in the Conference League last week by beating Vaduz 3-1 in front of the home crowd. Interestingly, the visitors had more shots and equal possession but still failed to secure a better result. Vaduz do their best work at home, so I will back them to beat the Irish side tonight.
