The new season kicks off on Friday night, with Manchester United hosting Fulham at Old Trafford. The home side were in action last week, and looked ok in parts, eventually losing a penalty shootout to Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The first of this season’s newcomers kick off Saturday, as Ipswich play Liverpool in the lunchtime game, also a first chance for us to see new Liverpool boss Arne Slot in a competitive fixture for The Redmen.
Southampton, back in the Premier League at the first time of asking, kick off with a long away trip to Newcastle, one of four games at 3pm.
Arsenal are in action at the same time, as Mikel Arteta looks to take them one place better than last season, they are at home to Wolves.
The Saturday tea time game sees West Ham host Aston Villa, rounding off Saturday.
On Sunday, Brentford host Crystal Palace at 2pm to start the day, this is very much the starter before the main course though, as we’ve a huge game coming up afterwards.
Chelsea are the hosts at Stamford Bridge and they welcome last season’s champions Manchester City, in a game that kicks off at 4:30pm.
Finally, the third newly promoted team, Leicester, also back at the first time of asking, welcome Tottenham to the King Power Stadium on Monday night, the tenth and final game of the opening weekend.
