It’s a classic top-versus-bottom clash in the Championship on Saturday.
With a perfect record of four wins from four, Ayr United face a struggling Dunfermline side at East End Park that are yet to earn a point or score a goal in their three league matches.
Scott Brown’s side looks like a solid bet to continue their early-season dominance, which includes a 5-0 win over Airdrie and a 2-0 victory against Raith Rovers.
In contrast, the Pars are enduring a tough run with six straight losses, suggesting a challenging season ahead for boss James McPake and his squad.
Alloa to beat Arbroath
Alloa looks like a strong contender for the League One title this year, and they look like a solid bet to add to Arbroath’s troubles on Saturday.
Andy Graham’s side has secured consecutive 1-0 victories and a win over St Johnstone in the League Cup.
With a reliable squad at this level, they might be too strong for a managerless Arbroath side with only one win in eight games this season and appear low on confidence.
Peterhead to beat Edinburgh City & over 2.5 goals
Edinburgh City secured their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Forfar last weekend, but they face a tough challenge against Scottish League Two leaders Peterhead at Meadowbank on Saturday.
Peterhead, who strengthened their squad over the summer, have won three of their first four league matches and also had strong performances in the Scottish League Cup.
The Blue Toon are well-positioned for a comfortable win and there are likely to be goals in the capital also - over 2.5 goals has landed in three of City’s four league games and all four of their Scottish League Cup matches.
