Hertha Berlin v Union Berlin – AWAY WIN

A Berlin derby always sets the pulses racing, but the contrast between the two teams couldn’t be starker.

Union Berlin’s results may have been a bit mixed of late even though they have enjoyed a splendid campaign to date. A solitary win from their past four Bundesliga outings suggests they are going through a wobble, but Sheraldo Becker, at the time of writing, has netted seven goals this term, and he could expose any weaknesses in Hertha’s backline.

Hertha, meanwhile, are coming off the back of a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Wolfsburg, so they will need to pick themselves up and fast. However, they have struggled for goals of late, and this could be an uphill battle for them. I’m going to kick things off by plumping for an away win, which is valued at 23/20.

Mainz v Bochum – AWAY WIN

Bochum have turned things around of late, and at the time of writing, they had chalked up three wins on the bounce, despite being only a couple of points above the drop zone.

With a tough month ahead of them, which includes clashes with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, they need to keep their foot firmly on the pedal and dig out as many points as possible.

Mainz, meanwhile, are without a win in five, and while they edged the corresponding fixture 2-1, I have a hunch Bochum will exact revenge and my second pick of an away win is trading at 4/1.

Bayern Munich v Eintracht Frankfurt – HOME WIN

Bayern Munich have become the draw specialists as they enjoyed a share of the points against Cologne in midweek, and what was surprising was that they needed a late Joshua Kimmich strike to salvage a point.

Julian Nageslmann’s charges don’t have much breathing room at the top of the table with RB Leipzig on their coattails, but they will relish the visit of Frankfurt to put things right.

Although Frankfurt are flying high this campaign, they have been on the end of a couple of heavy defeats against Bayern in the past — 6-1 and 5-0 — and it could be a chastening afternoon for the visitors if they aren’t careful.

Bayern, unsurprisingly, are at a very short 1/3 to collect all three points, and it’s hard to argue with that given the wealth of attacking talent they have at their disposal.
