Championship Tuesday Acca

Our top three selections for today

Burnley vs Watford – Home win

Burnley have made for irresistible viewing at times this season, and a convincing 3-0 win over Preston at Turf Moor illustrated this perfectly.

Nathan Tella, who is Burnley’s top scorer with 12 goals to his name in the Championship this term, netted a stunning hat-trick to secure his side’s 10th win in a row in the league. He has now struck five times in his past two outings for the club, and is in a purple patch.

Watford may have had the bragging rights when the two sides last met back in August with a 1-0 victory, but Burnley, who are seven points clear at the top of the table, would love to extend that to 10 for at least 24 hours.

It’s hard to see Watford getting anything against Burnley at Turf Moor, and my first pick is for Burnley to pocket all three points, which is available at a short 4/6.

Coventry vs Millwall – Away win

Coventry’s season is in danger of fading into insignificance. 14th in the table, and with no apparent relegation fears, the Sky Blues have seen their form dip.

Millwall, on the other hand, are clinging onto a playoff spot in fifth position, and they won’t want to relinquish that with Watford, Sunderland, and Blackburn breathing down their neck.

The Lions have conceded just once in their past three games, and this could be a tough ask for Coventry. For my second pick, I have sided with an away win, which is priced at an intriguing 19/10.

Reading vs Rotherham – Draw

Reading’s slump has been noticeable for Championship aficionados to see, with three defeats in their past five outings, and just one win in their past seven.

Rotherham, meanwhile, have hardly been pulling up trees either, but they are undefeated in their previous four Championship games.

The Madejski is never an easy place to visit, so this match seems to point to a draw.

My third pick will see the points shared, and the odds available are 23/10 if you wish to follow up on that.
