Euro 2024 Group D Tip
France are clearly one of the favourites to win the whole tournament, with only England shorter odds than the 2018 World Cup champions and 2022 runners-up.
That is no surprise considering the vast array of talent available to Didier Deschamps. Even with Paul Pogba banned due to a doping offence, they are bursting at the seams with talented players but could it be too much too soon for the likes of Warren Zaire-Emery, and are Camavinga and Tchouameni ready to dominate international midfields?
They could be of course, and with the depth in defence and Kylian Mbappe leading the line they are capable of beating anyone, but we don’t think this France squad looks quite as strong as previous versions and slightly more in transition, so they might not go all the way.

Euro 2024 Group D Team Profiles
Austria
Austria are set to enter just their fourth European Championship tournament his summer. They first qualified for the Euros in 2008 after failing to do so every year since its inception in 1960.
Austria fans will, however, take solace in the fact they have now made it to three tournaments in a row and recorded their best-ever finish at Euro 2020 when they were eliminated in the last-16 and they look a significantly better outfit than in previous years.
Ralf Rangnick has a superb record since taking charge of the national team, qualifying with six wins out of eight with a relatively unheralded squad. They could prove tricky to beat and a place in the knockouts is by no means out of the equation.
France
France head into Euro 2024 amongst the favourites to go on and win the entire competition. Les Bleus have one of the best all-round squads in world-football and arguably the best player in the world right now in Kylian Mbappe.
Despite the consistent quality produced over the years in France, though, they have not won the Euros in 24 years - something they will be desperate to change this summer.
Didier Deschamps has been there and done it all and is currently in his 12th year in charge of the national team and bringing through another exciting crop of players. Along with Mbappe, the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, William Saliba and Warren Zaire-Emery form a mouthwatering array of talent.
Netherlands
After the glory years of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s faded away. Netherlands struggled for any sort of success in the past decade and even failed to qualify for Euro 2016. However, they are once again building up a solid squad that is getting close to competing with the best of the best.
Ronald Koeman is back in the Netherlands dugout for the second time in his career and will be hoping to replicate the success he had as a player with the Dutch national side back in the 80s.
They will fancy their chances of getting out of the group - though they did lose twice to France in qualifying - especially with firepower such as Memphis Depay, Donyell Malen and Cody Gakpo, while Xavi Simons and Jeremie Frimpong are exciting talents and the experience of Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Ake and Matthijs de Ligt should serve them well in defence.
Poland
After a tense qualifying round, Poland are set to feature at the European Championship for the 5th time. Poland did not appear at the first 12 European Championships but have now qualified for the last five.
They have largely struggled to make it out of the group stage during this period, but they did reach the quarter-finals back in 2016.
They only made it through qualifying thanks to a penalty shootout win over Wales, having been held to a goalless draw in Cardiff before Wojicech Szczesny saved from Dan James to earn a 5-4 win on penalties and sending Poland to Germany this summer.
